Preventive
Dentistry
Preventive dentistry is the practice of caring for your teeth to keep them healthy. This helps to avoid cavities, gum disease, enamel wear, and more. There are many forms of preventive dentistry, such as daily brushing and flossing, balanced diet, limiting snacks and dental cleanings. These practices are designed to ensure that teeth are clean, strong, and white.

Crowns And Bridges
Crowns And
Bridges
Crowns and bridges are fixed prosthetic devices that are cemented onto existing teeth or implants by a dentist. Crowns are used to entirely cover or “cap” a damaged tooth or an implant. Bridges are used to cover a space if you’re missing one or more teeth. They are cemented to natural teeth or implants on each side of the space where the tooth once stood.

Cosmetic Dentistry
Cosmetic
Dentistry
Cosmetic dentistry is generally used to refer to any dental treatment that primarily focuses on improving one’s overall appearance (though not necessarily the function) of teeth, gums and/or bite. It primarily focuses on improving dental aesthetics such as color, position, shape, size, alignment and overall appearance of one’s smile. Most dentists also perform tooth whitening as it has become one of the more popular procedures due to how dramatically it can improve one’s smile.

Restorative Dentistry
Restorative
Dentistry
Restorative dentistry is the diagnosis and management of diseases of the teeth and their supporting structures, along with treatment planning and procedures performed by your dentist to keep your mouth healthy and functional. These types of procedures typically include but are not limited to fillings, crowns, bridges, dental implants and partial or full dentures.

Tooth Extraction
Tooth
Extraction
A dental extraction is typically an outpatient procedure performed by the dentist to completely remove a tooth from its spot in the jaw bone. There are a wide variety of reasons extractions are performed, but most commonly to remove teeth which have become unrestorable due to severe decay, periodontal disease, or dental trauma.

Dental Veneers
Dental
Veneers
Dental veneers are thin shells of porcelain or composite resin that are custom made to fit over teeth, providing a natural, attractive look. They can be used to fix chips, stains, uneven, misaligned, worn down, or abnormally spaced teeth. Although dental veneers provide great aesthetic benefits, this process is irreversible, so having them placed is a big decision that should be thoroughly discussed with your dentist, before deciding if this procedure is right for you.

Root Canal Therapy
Root Canal
Therapy
Root canal therapy is a procedure to relieve dental pain and save natural teeth. Patients would typically need a root canal when there is an infection or inflammation in the roots of a tooth. During this type of treatment, a dentist or endodontist carefully removes the pulp inside the tooth, cleans, disinfects and shapes the root canals, and places a filling to seal the space.

Partial And Full Dentures
Partial And
Full Dentures
A denture is a custom-made and removable prosthetic device used as a replacement for missing teeth and surrounding tissues. Two main types of dentures are available, complete and partial dentures. Complete or (full) dentures are used when all the teeth are missing, while partial dentures are used when some of the natural teeth remain.

Emergency Care
Emergency
Care
A Dental emergency is basically, any dental problem that requires immediate treatment in order to save a tooth, stop ongoing tissue bleeding or alleviate severe tooth pain. Smoothing a chipped tooth, re-cementing a crown that is not causing pain or other similar issues, are not typically emergencies and can be dealt with during normal office hours. If you are a patient of record and are needing immediate attention, please call our emergency number.
Dental Care For The Whole Family
With a focus on family dentistry, Dr. Christy Heinze enjoys seeing patients of all ages and emphasizes the importance of regularly visiting the dentist from an early age.
“Family dentistry is what I’m interested in. I love to see both kids and adults. It’s never too early to bring your children to the dentist,” Dr. Heinze says. “We start with what we call ‘happy visits’ to get them used to coming to the dentist. We recommend coming to the dentist every six months for kids and at least that for adults.”
